Pioneer Investments Celebrates 85 Years

On February 13, 2013, Pioneer Investments marked its 85th anniversary.

A lot has happened since our last milestone anniversary five years ago: a credit crunch, a subprime mortgage crisis, a prolonged and widespread recession, the crisis in the euro zone, and the rise of the emerging markets—all of which resulted in a shift in the world economic order.

During this time of change, Pioneer has focused on protecting investors’ assets and maintaining the confidence of its shareholders, while adapting to the new market scenarios.

We believe that being able to look back on a long and rich 85-year history distinguishes our company within the financial services industry. While we evolve to keep pace with the changes in the marketplace, our tried and tested investment approach, inspired by the investment philosophy of our founder, Philip Carret, has allowed us to face with confidence the downturns and the different phases of various economic cycles over the last 85 years.

As we proudly celebrate this landmark date in our company's history, we believe we are stronger, and better prepared than ever before to meet the challenges that lie ahead.

To mark this important event, you will notice a special 85th anniversary logo appearing on our web site as well as on other materials, alongside our Pioneer Investments logo.

Of course, without the continued loyalty of our shareholders, this milestone would not have been possible to achieve, and so all of us at Pioneer extend our sincerest thanks to all of our investors for helping us to reach this significant anniversary.
