The Variable Contracts Trust consists of separate portfolios, each of which is an investment vehicle for variable annuity and variable life insurance contracts offered by the separate accounts of various insurance companies. The portfolios also may be offered to certain qualified pension and retirement plans. The portfolios are not available for direct retail investment by the general public.

1. Effective June 30, 2012, Pioneer Cullen Value VCT Portfolio was renamed Pioneer Fundamental Value VCT Portfolio.

2. At a Board meeting held on May 20, 2012, the Board of Trustees of Pioneer Cullen Value Fund and Pioneer Cullen Value VCT Portfolio approved a proposal by Pioneer Investment Management, Inc. ("Pioneer") to assume direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of each fund’s portfolio, effective August 1, 2012. Currently, Pioneer, the fund’s investment adviser, oversees the fund’s operations and supervises Cullen Capital Management LLC ("Cullen") as investment subadviser to the fund. Cullen will continue to serve as the fund’s subadviser through July 31, 2012.

3. Effective May 1, 2013, Pioneer Fundamental Value VCT Portfolio was renamed Pioneer Disciplined Value VCT Portfolio, along with changes to the portfolio's investment objective, strategies and portfolio management.

4. Effective May 1, 2013, Pioneer Growth Opportunities VCT Portfolio was renamed Pioneer Select Mid Cap Growth VCT Portfolio, along with changes to the portfolio's investment objective, strategies and portfolio management.

Effective April 24, 2009, the following portfolios were liquidated:
Pioneer Global High Yield VCT Portfolio Class II; Pioneer Ibbotson Aggressive Allocation VCT Portfolio Class II; Pioneer Independence VCT Portfolio Class I and II; Pioneer International Value VCT Portfolio Class I and II; Pioneer Oak Ridge Large Cap Growth VCT Portfolio Class II; and Pioneer Small Cap Value VCT Portfolio Class I and II.
