Effective October 1, 2003, Pioneer is required to be in Compliance with Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act. This means that Pioneer must have a customer identification program (CIP) in place, which ensures that mandatory information is collected from each person who opens a new account. The four pieces of required information are: the applicant's name, identification number (either a Social Security Number or Tax Identification number), street address and date of birth. We will not accept money from investors that we cannot identify.
We have changed our applications in order to collect all of the necessary information. An insert explaining why we are requesting certain pieces of information will accompany your new supply of applications. Please dispose any applications you have before September 30, 2003 and begin using the new ones on October 1, 2003. To avoid delays in processing your application, please refer to the most current new account application which includes important information about Pioneer's Customer Identification Program (CIP). We ask that you either download a PDF or order new copies of the application from our literature ordering system. Thank you for your cooperation.
